You Promised You'd Bring Hell
Written By: Raul A. Rodriguez

there's this girl that I dream about from my past life
and this moment I can recall
where she cuts me open and takes my heart
and says "I'll see you in hell"
well you've always reminded me of her
so here I am, living well
so you can keep my heart for yourself
it'll help to keep yourself strong
living in this hell that you promised you'd bring

so this is hell?
not quite what I was expecting
there's nothing more than halls of TVs playing reruns of reality
but at the end of the hall there's a door and it's unlocked
but behind it you'll be saddened to know your life's become a reality show
welcome to hell! gossip, lying, cheating, crying
high school doesn't leave after eighteen
you can try to run from the desk tag drama
but that desk knows who broke who's heart
and will read itself aloud in the sound of an old fashion intercom
"I know the name of the boy who broke your girls heart"

and the periods pass by
people sit in that desk everytime
it's the devil's message board for talking trash
the people they will write and write
until the point up to where they forgot what happened that night
that's where the intercom comes on to announce
"you blacked out"

you blacked out from the overdose of alchohol flavored water
should have known better than to drink from a fountain of self pity
do you at least remember the dance you did that impressed him?
the one where you sang the words "I'm not a virgin!" and off came your skirt...

...and back on it went, boy, that was fast
I thought you were prince charming, but the desk says
"prince charming doesn't last in bed!"
and you call yourself charming
I heard your pick up lines, the stories
you gave her your best words
but I know my heart was better
it's helped keep her strong
living in this hell that she promised us she'd bring
