The source of my inspiration:

"During the course of A One Time Thing, everyone who knows me knows that my biggest influence when it came to writing music was Kris Roe of The Ataris. Back at home people used to joke about my obsession, but it's not that I was obsessed with the guy, I just had a lot of respect for him as a songwriter. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be who I am today. Let's face it, before high school I wasn't popular with the ladies; I lacked the confidence, and I had a poor self image. It also didn't help that dressed like a metalhead up until freshman year. Trust me, listening to metal for a few years can really damage your psyche, I know from experience. It was around that time I started listening to music with a little more pep to cheer myself up; Less Than Jake, Goldfinger, and Millencolin to name a few. The Ataris was just the band that really stood out to me. Perhaps it's due to the fact that the day I heard 'San Dimas High School Football Rules,' it basically narrated a current situation I was in. I just remember thinking, 'the nerve this guy must have to just call a girl out and try to steal her away from some other guy.' Then, I thought to myself, 'why can't I do that?' I think he actually didn't end up getting the girl in the end, but that's not the point. The point is, he tried. He put himself out there and gave it his all to let this girl know how he felt about her. The Ataris gave me courage to let someone know how I feel, and before that, I didn't have that courage. As a person, perhaps as a man, it's hard for me to express my feelings. Writing them down is just so much easier, and if it wasn't for The Ataris, I never would've had the courage to even go as far as that. Kris, I am in your debt.

As a group, I think Star-crossed Romance's biggest influence was a single EP released by a band by the name of Astoria. The 'Start Again' EP was their only release. We came across their music by chance, and boy am I glad. The Start Again EP is very special to me. The melodies were really something else. I think we all had a good amount of admiration towards their music. Astoria, is the only band I can think of that really drove us all as a group. I don't recall what I else I was listening to at the time, or the rest of my band mates for that matter, I just think that Astoria deserves mention.

As Harry's Bronze Coffin, in the beginning I'm pretty sure I was influenced by The Faint and the album, 'Digital Ash in a Digital Urn' by Bright Eyes. Now I think I've gone back to my roots of being a geek. When asked what kind of music I play, or who I'm most influenced by, assuming that the person asking knows what I'm talking about, I'll tell them the truth, which is Nobuo Uematsu, the genius behind the music of Final Fantasy. Otherwise I have to compare myself to bands I think I might sound like, 'cause I really don't think my music at this point in space and time sounds like anything you typically hear in the music market of today. If you've heard anything I've produced in the past, you may disagree, but once you hear 'Torn Good)(Evil,' I think you'll be able to hear the inner Uematsu inside of me."
